Traveling to Ostrava

    By air: The closest airport to Ostrava is the Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport (OSR), which offers direct flights to a number of European cities. From the airport, visitors can take a taxi or bus to the city center.

    By train: Ostrava is well-connected by train to other cities in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. The city has three main train stations: Ostrava-Svinov, Ostrava hlavní nádraží, and Ostrava-Stodolní.

    By car: Ostrava is easily accessible by car via the Czech highway network, as well as major highways in neighboring Poland and Slovakia.

Getting around Ostrava

    Public transportation: Ostrava has a well-developed public transportation system, including trams, buses, and trolleybuses. Visitors can purchase tickets at kiosks, vending machines, on board the vehicle (tap and ride).
